HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Akadinda K'Africa Cultural Troupe, was founded with its infancy name as Akadinda Quartet. This was on 1/July/1996.This Troupe is found in Uganda (Africa) which is one big table land, rich not only with soils, mineral resources and variety of species of animals, but also its folk cultural ethnicity.

It was founded by four folk Musicians namely:-
 

1. Mr. Kayizzi Arthur Colin, a High school Music teacher and Ethno-Musical Consultant.
2. Miss. Nassuuna  Prossy, an Ethno-Musical Instructor.
3. Mr. Balikoowa Centuriol, a Primary school Music teacher and Ethno-Musical Consultant.
4. Mr.Mukungu Herbert, a Primary school Music teacher and Ethno-Musical Instrutor.

These were later joined by the late Kyaligonza Alfred, a former Primary school Music teacher. May his soul rest in internal peace.

The name Akadinda is a name of a traditional musical instrument which is played by four main titles of people as:
OMUNAZI, the first player who plays the main tune.
ABAAWUZI, the two players who join the first player with the second development to create an intermixture.
OMUKOONEZI, the one who syncopates the combination of the above with a few repetitions of the musical notes of the above combination.
